Dr. John Dvorack is an independent, therapeutic qualified optometrist. He graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1988 and has been providing eye examination services to Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley since 1993.
John is married with 3 children and 2 grandchildren. He enjoys sports and spending time with Gracie his 2-year-old rescue dog. John takes pride in offering a relaxed, compassionate, and educational environment for you to comfortably discuss and explore your visual needs and concerns.
Nilam was born and raised in UK and moved to Kelowna in 2022.
She brings 30+ years of customer service experience and is excited to make Wink-I-wear customers feel beautiful and offer excellent customer service.
Wink-i-Wear was founded in 2013 by Laura Draycott, a former Chiropractor and licensed Optician, who believes eyewear is our greatest fashion accessory.
In 2019, Laura partnered with Optometrist Timothy Degelman, and together they created Wink i Wear Optometry. In May 2019 the new glamourous warehouse-style Optometric boutique was opened, offering customers a larger space and full service eye care and eye exams.
Introducing customers to eye wear they are not going to find anywhere else, and frames they have never seen before. The store showcases an inviting, comfortable, non-clinical atmosphere with modern optometric equipment.

In 2018 Wink i Wear teamed up with other local businesses for the annual Swinging with the Stars Gala and raised over $272,000 for Central Okanagan Hospice Association. Laura and her husband Stephen (from Aura Wealth Management) were coached by local dancer Tina Joslin from Oranj Fitness and danced a disco medley in front of over 300 people. With the help of the beautiful Femme Fatale back-up dancers, they won the Audience Choice award at the end of the evening.
